The Poor Pretender

He is always professing to be heir of very large possessions     He does not condesend to particularize from whence he expects them    but that he does expect them is certain    for so he assures you     & his assurances are certaintys & to show that he is not des(t)itute of property already he is always interested at the rise & fall of stocks     & with both hands in his pockets he is continually clinking the few shillings that is placed there on purpose to show he is not without money but rich    tho his dress displays a silent eloquence more loud then all his bold asumptions of rich words that he is very poor
